Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri has been banned for two games in Coppa Italia and fined €5,000 after receiving a red card in last night’s win over Atalanta.

Juventus coach Allegri lost his temper in the final minutes of Wednesday’s Coppa Italia Final against Atalanta and was fined and banned for two games.

The Serie A sports judge has officially given Allegri a two-match ban, valid for Coppa Italia matches, plus a €5,000 fine.

Juventus coach Allegri banned and fined after Coppa Italia outburst

This, on paper, means the Italian tactician will be allowed to go on the bench in the next Serie A match against Bologna at the Stadio Dall’Ara on Monday, May 20.

However, Juventus may decide to sack Allegri before the next league fixture due to his attitude during and after the Coppa Italia Final.

Allegri seemingly rejected compliments from club director Cristiano Giuntoli and even threatened Tuttosport editor Guido Vaciago after the match so the Bianconeri are considering sacking him before the end of the season.
