Five-star class of 2025 wide receiver Dakorien Moore decommits from LSU football

Seemingly for the first time in the entire class of 2025 recruiting cycle, LSU football has just received some less than ideal news.

Consistently being viewed as one of the top classes in the entire country, LSU has possessed commitments from the top quarterback, wide receiver and running back in the country since January of 2024. However, as of Thursday evening, that streak has officially come to a close.

After first committing to the purple and gold in August of 2023, five-star wide receiver Dakorien Moore has most recently announced his decommitment from the program, notably specifying that he will not be considering any other offers in the near future.

With his decision to not receive any other offers, it’s more than likely that the talented pass catcher out of Duncanville, TX, already has a commitment destination in mind.

Currently rated as the consensus No. 1 wide receiver in the country, the 5-foot-11, 175-pound Moore has taken several visits over the last few months, including trips to Ohio State, Oregon, and most recently Texas on April 6, 2024. In turn, it’s a pretty fair assumption that his next landing destination is likely to be one of those three.

With today’s decommitment from the Tiger class of 2025, LSU football still holds 11 commitments, including one from four-star New Orleans, LA, product TaRon Francis, who sits as the only remaining wide receiver in the group.
